A band with no members is silent as could be

Pipe bands consist of just four different instruments: bagpipes, snare drums, tenor drums, and bass drums. Our band is currently seeking additional members for all instruments. Whether you are a brand new beginner, a lapsed piper or drummer looking to get back into it, or a proficient musician seeking a band to join, we would love to hear from you!

Our band members come from all walks of life and include or have included a dentist, educators, students, engineers, business executives, a director of a nonprofit organization, a police officer, a computer programmer and a member of the Coast Guard. We are an all-volunteer band with 501(c)3 status and are always open to admitting new members.

While our practices and rehearsals are geared toward our members, we welcome anyone to attend in order to meet the band and even try out a practice or two if you already play!

REHEARSAL

Making it all possible

Greenwood Volunteer Fire

809 Greenwood Rd, Winchester, VA 22602

Thank you to the Greenwood Volunteer Fire Company for allowing us dedicated space to practice each week. We usually start at 6pm and practice until 8pm. This time may vary, so if you are new to band, be sure to contact us and let us know you're coming.

If you need directions, click here to visit Google Maps. Here is a static map if you are familiar with Winchester and just need to see where it is.

We practice in the hall at the rear of the building. Just pull into the parking lot on the right side of the firehouse and com in through the glass doors.

MUSIC

Where shown below, the band setting for our music is done in Bagpipe Music Writer Gold (BWW). It can be opened, played and printed with that program, or with the free Bagpipe Player or with the full or demo version of Electric Pipes. Or you can print the Image files for your own copy of the music.
